Pg All                                                                                       Summary and Reflection

I just finished the book and to be honest, it was pretty good. The book will mostly about Hitler and his past/life from when he was a child to a grown man and I have  The book will mostly about Hitler and his past/life from when he was a child to a grown man that committed suicide. I liked how it wasn’t just about Adolf Hitler, but  it  also talked about how the USA and other allied forces struggled to either fight the Nazis or find Hitler. Like the time the Soviet forces were doing a good amount of damage the Nazis but became even greater with the help of the U.S. Navy and British army. Sadly Hitler committed suicide and was never taken to prison which was what everyone wanted at the time.

Inside Hitler’s Bunker

Pg. 248-266                                                                                                        Prompt# 12

This section makes me think about how Hitler was able to make a huge bunker, including 17 rooms and 10 feet tall, before the Holocaust even started because it could have taken a few years and I think that it could of cost millions of dollars so how was he able to afford it? Also, how did the bunker survived so many bomb attacks, not collapse, or not been discovered for many years. A fun fact about the bunker is that it had held more parties than meetings.

Hitler’s Death And Heros’ Glory

Pg 228-247                                             Prompt# 13 and 28

I like General Omar Bradley because he really made the book interesting. At first it the book was okay, information about Hitler here and there, but knowing that a person with the same name as me and being one of America’s greatest generals, it really influenced me to be interested in the book. Also, I can’t believe that Hitler and his wife committed suicide without thinking of another way to escape. I am really happy that he died, but with him being alive, we could of gotten a whole lot of information about him and the holocaust.

The Battle Of Berlin

pg #212-227                                                                                     Prompt# 18

I wish the author had included some information about the soviet forces and the US forces ever encountering with each other. Also, I hoped that the author had included the emotions Eva and Hitler had once they found out that they were being attacked at Berlin, Germany. All that the book said was the once they got information about the enemies entering Berlin, both Eva and Hitler commited suicide. Even though the bad man was dead, Nazis were still killing Jews when they were trying to escape the camps.

Ten Days Left

Pg. #186-211                                                       Prompt #30

I think that the amount of “Days” Hitler has left tells me that he won’t die of old age because he still looks middle aged, but he might either be killed or he will kill him self. I also think that he will kill him self is that the Soviet forces and the US forces are getting awfully close to Hitler’s bunker/ city. Another reason why I think he will commit suicide is how badly Hitler wants to be the most powerful man on the planet, but if he gets arrested, he will feel the need to die because of his loss.

Searching for Adolf Hitler

Pg. # 163-185                                                      Prompt #21

As I read, I felt that general Omar Bradley and his other coworkers, could’ve had the chance to kill or arrest  Hitler, but they took their time to arrive near him and then Hitler found a chance to escape.  I am extremely mad because Bradley and the others had a huge opportunity to end the holocaust, but because of the decisions they didn’t.  If only they didn’t take their time looking through out the same area, Hitler could’ve been found possibly months ago. Also, when Hitler found out the US was near them, he began to hide anywhere he could in order to survive.

Crossing the Rhine River

Pg. 136-162                                                         Prompt #39

I was surprised that George S. Patton crossed the river with the third army, by themselves, and keeping it a secret from the other soldiers. Also, they made it while not being detected by German soldiers and general Omar Bradley agreed not to tell any about there sail across the Rhine river. Once they heard news about their success, it was still kept a secret until they here that everything went well. They also sent bridging materials so possibly vehicles are able to cross as well. After a short while, the third army was detected by a storm of planes in the air and were taken down.

The Frank family

Pg 105-133                                                         Prompt # 17

I wish that Anne Frank could have lived through the Holocaust so that she could have discribed it well during her time during that horrible time hiding and being in camps. Also, by knowing more of her, and not the book, it could have been told to the USA so the information that is on the internet, can be determined if it is true or false. One thing that happened other that the Frank family was, Hitler had taken over most of Europe. Also, it identified that he has been attempted to be assassinated multiple times during his dictatorship.

Battle between the USA and the Nazis

Pg # 68-104                                                         Prompt# 24

A prediction I have for what may happen next is that the Nazis will attack the US even though it would be very difficult in the winter. I think these things will happen because so far, the Nazis and Hitler are taking whatever advantage they have against the United States so they have a better chance of winning the matter what it takes. Also, the snow makes it harder for US scouts to find enemies and these are one of the advantages the Nazis need to win another battle.

The First Attack from the Nazis

Pg#36-67                                                               Prompt#48

If I could be a character in the book, it would be General Omar Bradley because of the really bad decision that he made which may have costed thousands of lives, instead of attacking the Nazis early, he waited until they came to him. If I was at his place, I would’ve attacked them not to you while they are still fresh and weak. My action could have saved thousands of live and be known as the greatest general in history. If Brandy did my action he could’ve been famously known thoughout history.
